• Activity Check is now over! We've sent out emails to those who have not met our standards, though to reiterate: due to the addition of proofs, we will not be idling out anyone who has failed to meet unitmate thread criteria this month.
• For full disclosure, it is possible your linked thread did not meet our standards. However, Activity Check exists for us to be able to see everyone's activity easily. If we have independently noticed that you are active and around (and we're always watching! always,) then even if the linked thread does not meet our standards we will let it slide because we see you.
This may, in the future, come off as inconsistent - and it is, but to both your and our benefit, as we can then process activity faster and more effectively. We will always give players a chance to provide proofs for us should they not pass activity, and we are always willing to work with players who may be struggling with the month should they contact us, so don't fret, and don't hesitate to reach out to us if you need!
• We will also be introducing a new policy: we had originally moved Fanmail to the first week of the month so that it didn't overlap with new characters, so as to not overload the playerbase with a bunch of new shiny things all at once. However, due to our app cycle change as well as the changes to our Activity Check, we will be formally instating a no placement policy on the first week of the month. This will give us enough breathing room to reach out to players who have not passed activity, and will give the game enough breathing room to play with both Fanmail as well as new unitmates without feeling overwhelmed.
• Now, onto games! We've got a few games on the calendar:• Kaz will be running a non-trauma kissing mingle game starting at 1PM PST on June 5th and ending 7PM PST on June 7th. Once more, violence will be discouraged but not technically prevented.
• Celi will be running a game on June 12th at 9AM PST. Signups will be going up shortly for those, so look out!
• Cleo will be running a trauma game on June 18th, starting 7PM PST. Look forward to it!
• Degen will be running a trauma game on June 22nd, starting at 10AM PST, although depending on the fallout from Cleo's game it may be rescheduled. We'll see what happens!
• Grocery store won the poll! As such Daiei Hatagaya will be added to the Setting page.Daiei Hatagaya
Located in the Shibuya ward, this grocery store is open 24 hours for all your late night needs. With grocery baskets located near the front, the shelves are stocked with meat and fish, fruit, vegetables, bags of rice, condiments, a limited selection of cheese, and so on and so forth. Like the cafe it's unstaffed, and payment is unnecessary. That said, unlike the real version, there's no precooked meals or prepackaged snacks-- it's all ingredients and raw food. Great and free, if you're willing to put the time in.
• While community upgrades are fun and exciting for everyone, we have noticed the lack of opportunity for them creates IC competition that generates OOC urgency and frustration to the point that, frankly speaking, people have been kind of shitty at each other! Therefore, in order to discourage this, we will be providing two (2) community upgrades with every goal reached from this point on. We hope this will alleviate the OOC pressure surrounding setting polls so that we can all return to being cool cats. To this end, please remember to respect each other as well. We will also not increase goal numbers, as we feel the frequency of roughly 1 poll a month is ideal for the game.
• At long last ….. the dorm upgrades. They've…… arrived.
