Hello! It's Sunday! It really really is Sunday!
OK, that's it! See you next week, guys!
- To start things off on a serious note: We've received a few complaints of player conduct on Plurk. We understand that people can get frustrated with mod decisions and processes, and we are generally of the opinion that Plurk is a platform we cannot police, and we would never discourage players from using their space to speak of what they would like. However, at a certain point, frustration and tone may be perceived as vitriol, and such tone can and has caused great discomfort in our playerbase, to the extent that we feel the need to address this matter.
We ask you, our players, to be courteous and civil to one another; this includes direct conversation, but this also applies to conversations on Plurk. Please understand that complaints about events are not just about the mods, but the event helpers that volunteer their time and energy; complaints about mod processes such as the queue also puts fellow players sitting in the queue in a tight spot; game complaints are unneeded stress on the gamerunners who volunteer engagement to provide to this community. It is very likely that, in complaints on any of these subjects, those relevant to the complaint will see it, and even if the intent is not to make them feel bad, the effect is such that it does make volunteers and fellow players feel bad. To reiterate: we understand complaints toward the mods, but we ask that players not put down fellow players and volunteers in the process of whatever complaints are being made. If a player just feels the need to spew their guts—which is something we've all done, and isn't something to be ashamed of—then we ask that such plurks be appropriately tagged in the toplevels so that fellow players can know to mute and move on.
While we have specifically noted these past incidents have had to do with mod decisions, we ask the same courtesy be extended if players feel frustrated with the general tone of the game as well, as this again affects both gamerunners and fellow players whose actions contribute to said tone negatively, and said players are very likely to be within viewing range of such plurks, given the closeness of this community.
We cannot enforce this as a rule; ultimately, a player's Plurk is their space. However, should we receive multiple and repeated complaints of this conduct, we are within our rights to remove the player from the game.
If you have a question or concern with a mod, gamerunner, or event runner decision, or if you are otherwise unhappy with a situation due to our decisions, we encourage you to email us directly @ imeeji.p[at]gmail[dot]com, with courtesy and civility. It is strongly likely that there is a reason for why we do the things we do, but moreover, we are open to suggestions that would better everyone's experiences, provided it's within reason, and we are always striving to do better. - On a lighter note, we've had a few plot emails coming into our inbox in the past few days! We're currently working on a few things right now, but we'll respond as soon as we can—thank you for being patient with us!
