• As a reminder, imeeji is a FTB IC community—that is, all sex threads should be moved off-comm, onto character journals or wotanon etc. We've noticed a change in game vibes recently to being more lax about this matter, both IC and OOC, so this is us course correcting on the matter. No one is in trouble, and vibes are a very general/imperfect sense of measurement—we're just putting this out on the forefront to make sure we're being thorough.


• On an OOC front: With consideration toward recent events on our Discord server as well as our NSFW policy, we'd like to revise our Discord rules. We recognize that we've been more lax about enforcing this policy, and we apologize for not being firmer in our set boundaries. Here's what's new:
  
  • All NSFW content should be on the #nsfw channel. If you're not sure whether it counts or not, err on the side of caution—imeeji is meant to be an environment that is welcoming to everyone, and while every player is an adult, we want to make the server an opt-in environment, not an opt-out one.
    
    This includes unit channel discussions, even if every member of the unit is OK with NSFW discussions in the unit channels. Unit channels are also used as communication channels between units and gamerunners/mods, so we want there to be consistency in every SFW channel. Additionally, while the current unit configuration might be OK with it, that's always liable to change with a new placement, and having these strong boundaries means that there won't be any accidental unfortunate situations in the future.
    
    If you are in need of an NSFW conversation with your unitmates and would prefer privacy, please take advantage of our server's capability for private threads—additionally, please make sure that it's still in the NSFW channel, because mods are able to see all private threads and we don't need that.
    
    In fandom-specific channels, NSFW content may be posted as threads in the fandom-specific channel. We make this divide because fandom channels are opt-in on our Discord server, and we want to keep our RP-specific content separate from our lounge content.
  
  
  • Because we have had some pushback on this, we'd like to say outright: when a mod tells you to move channels, this is non-negotiable. No ifs, ands, or buts. It is never a punishment when mods tell players to move channels—conversations can get out of hand and everyone makes mistakes—but pushing back on our reminder to be courteous to your fellow players, simply put, is an inappropriate debate that does nothing but makes the channel vibes rancid, and we will not tolerate it any further.
    
  • With the above two points in mind, we are instating a punitive system going forward:
    
    • Warning - Continuing to talk about NSFW in SFW channels after the warning, or otherwise pushing back on the mods when we tell you to move. We will temporarily remove privileges to talk in non-unit SFW channels. Depending on the severity or frequency, these privileges may be removed permanently.
      
    • Ban - Continuing to talk about NSFW in unit channels after having talking privileges removed, pushing back on mods, acting maliciously or otherwise being inappropriate for public consumption (having a tantrum, aggressing people, etc) will be met with a game ban. People who can't act right on our Discord server are not allowed in our game.
    
    Again, to reiterate, it is never a punishment when mods tell players to move channels. We are chill until you make us unchill.
    
    Our #rules chan has been updated with the above.
  
  
  • We'd like to remind players that #shower-thoughts is meant to be a place of questions and answers, not discussions between players or requests/suggestions to the mods. If you'd like to discuss something, please take it to #general or any of the game channels; if you'd like to suggest or request something, please take it to #mod-requests.

• Mora's jenga game will not be running a game on the 19th! Youji is taking over. There's a poll on Discord, and also SIGNUPS HERE!


• Asidian and Erin will be running a Chuck Tingle game, which has been moved to Sunday March 27th at 1pm! This game will run on wotanon and have comedic nsfw themes, pitting your unit's silly Chuck Tingle title + book cover + synopsis against those of the other units in a desperate bid to get published (read: get votes from the other units)
