GAME

THE GAME IS RUNNING THIS SATURDAY, AT 4PM PST! Please note: there may be PERMANENT LOSS OF CHARACTERS' CANON NAMES* in this game, as well as the possibility of death.

Exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This also marks the end of the event! This post does not need to be responded to any longer, although if you want to share cool things with the class then feel free to do so!

*IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO PLAY WITH PERMANENT LOSS OF CHARACTERS' CANON NAMES but you DO want to play in the game, you can take an alternate loss! Please run it by us first, as the loss should be on some level severe, however you can play with the following without asking us:
• Loss of a memory (unable to regain this memory at all)
• Loss of conceptual identity knowledge (i.e. I don't know what I look like/I don't know who my parents are/etc, remember these are permanent so even if you were to look in the mirror after you lose your concept of self image you would still not be able to recognize yourself.)

COMMENT HERE ON THIS POST IF YOU WANT TO TAKE AN ALTERNATE LOSS THAT IS NOT THESE THINGS.

If you do not want to play with any loss at all whatsoever, then you can also just skip the game!

Question about the name loss!

Can it be a partial name loss? With a character like Seto (birth name) Kaiba (adopted name), if he does lose his name, I think it'd be fun to miss only a part of his name since they have radically different meanings to him. I think it would also be interesting to play with hearing his name and finding it familiar/unfamiliar at the same time.

Thanks!

ALTERNATE LOSS

QUESTION would Loss of Self Harm be applicable? Ie he'd no longer be able to bring physical harm to himself (slitting his own throat/wrists/stabbing himself, etc) It'd be a mental block every time he attempted.

Exceptions would be passive suicide (like waiting out a timer with someone), just falling off a building (eta actually let's put jumps in the former physical harm) and assisted suicide (ie letting someone just murder him, not that THAT'S WORKED OUT).

Curious about a memory/concept loss mix.

Basically forgetting the visual identity of his most important canon CR, though he'll remember other stuff (mainly like emotions) associated with the person in question and can figure out who he should be remembering from context. Kind of like the blurring of names thing but instead it's the whole visual mental image of a person?

Also can this be contained to only memories he hasn't regained yet? So that if he met them again or if this character were apped he would be able to see this person and remember them as someone he's met recently and build new CR, but wouldn't be able to place him as the same person he grew up with?

I wanted to pose loss of ability to differentiate between past incarnation and current self so any memories that suggest the two are not the same would be corrupted. Basically, he would forever believe he's only had one life and is his demon prince past.

Hi! For Kira, I wanted to know if it would be okay to lose his sense of direction. I would like to make him a little less likely to just fuck off whenever he feels like it (aka, all the time) and make him a little more reliant on other people, esp his unitmates, and I think that would be a helpful and fun way to do it.

I'd like to do a visual perception loss for Ace! Specifically, to have just his eyes be invisible to sight and images. It wouldn't impact his eyesight, and the eyeballs would still be there if someone felt around for them, but to viewers (and in reflections, photos, etc.) there's just... a weird? shadow??? where his eyes should be. Perhaps a sense that there aren't any eyes there at all.

If that's too much my alternate idea is that the missing eyes would only apply to images and reflections, so in person everything would be fine.
