Game Announcement

Hello all--Sorry for the somewhat late-ish notice!

I'll be running a trauma game this Saturday, Sept 14th starting 10 am PST / 1 pm EST; there is a hard cut-off of 4 hours / 2pm PST but it's also possible that the game could end earlier depending on luck and play.

You will essentially be playing collective Blackjack! Each team will draw and decide whether to keep playing as a unit, but you'll be aiming to defeat the dealer with the sum of every team's scores. I intend this to be a fairly quick-play game, with only about 20 minutes for discussion per round--if that's super not workable we can flex as we play, but the limit is meant to be both ICly pressuring and to help us ensure that we'll actually... get anywhere... before I have to cut us off.

The game shouldn't involve any physical trauma, but I won't stop you from bringing a knife and stabbing your teammates with it, if you wanted? Unsure how that'll help you win at blackjack but what do I know, I'm not the card police.

Q: Dane isn't that like, RIGHT before betrayal
A: Yup! Sorry! It should at least be a different kind of trauma?

Q: Can I come late/leave early/etc
A: You can come late or leave early, but any team that drops out entirely before the end of the game will automatically lose.

Q: Do I need to be good at math or counting or know anything about blackjack
A: Goodness no

Q: Isn't it your birthday
A: Yes it is my birthday that's why there's a hard cut-off, because I guess I have a party to go and I expect some of y'all to also be there THIS IS ALL VERY WELL PLANNED AND TIMED
