Heart Game Player signups!
Heart Games: to put it briefly, it's entering the psyche of a character and exploring their mind (or, namely, their heart), with the goal of reaching their core, or the True Heart. Heart Games may range from light to dark and traumatic, so please take note of content warnings given when signing up!
Heart Games will run from February 14th to February 23rd.
Runners, please submit a toplevel with the following: your game schedule, running capacity, any content warnings players may stumble into in the Heart, & whether you accept unscored runs as well or not! In addition, please note a #chan name if you have an idea of what it should be. (You can edit it later.)
Players, please comment to the toplevels with first/second/third priority; you may have ONE scored run. If you would like to play in an unscored run, please note as such in your signup(s)! If the runner offers multiple timeslots, please note your preferred times.
You may both run a Heart and play in a Heart, but runs in other Hearts must be unscored.

So fun fact: a lot of Eclipse’s dumb Exalted powers are fluffed as “no really you’re so good at x that you take it to anime bullshit levels” in the core book, except the ones that explicitly aren’t. For my sanity and yours I’m just going to describe the major ability trees he’s invested in + a bonus power that’s related to his caste (which in gameplay terms is kind of like a job class archetype). Pick and adjust, etc.
Socialize: The ability tree that covers knowledge of social contexts and using that knowledge in social settings for things like persuasion and reading people. This is actually Eclipse’s most major ability in canon! He’s super invested in the branch that covers reading people; it’s sort of a combo of a real understanding of how people think and uncannily good intuition that lets him accurately read others' intentions. In Exalted’s system this means he can intuit other characters’ motivations, whether it’s their principles or relationships. This includes nonsense like being able to get a surface read of all the people in a room within moments, make himself harder to read, precisely gauge people’s reactions and thus figure out their intent in spite of their actions, detect when other people are trying to read him even if he can’t actually see them doing so as long as he’s aware of their presence. He can even potentially figure out a person’s metaphorical ‘price’, i.e. what would motivate them to do a specific task, act against a belief, etc. (I kid you not it’s called ‘Knowing the Soul’s Price’). None of this is mind reading, just freakishly accurate and rapid comprehension of social nuances and body language.
Occult: The ability tree that covers knowledge and talent for supernatural bullshit. Eclipse is able to detect hidden spirits; he hears the sound of wind chimes whenever one is nearby. He can harm spirits that aren’t materialised, and one of the charms lets him speak and understand Creation’s archaic languages, including obscure ones that are only used by spirits. He also has access to sorcery which is actual mage spell nonsense. Sorcery spells in Exalted are done by the caster gathering sorcerous energy to form the spell and then actually cast it. They require willpower and usually take some time to cast. Eclipse’s current canon spell list is basically: summon a cloud to ride and use as pack mule (and it can follow simple instructions), summon a tiny winged messenger that can travel very quickly to deliver oral messages which can only be perceived by the intended recipient, and summon deadly thunderclap. It’s loud enough to deafen people caught in the impact zone and can damage flimsy material like glass or wood.
Eclipse oath: Eclipse has the power to sanctify oaths that he is witness to, this is an innate ability of characters of his caste. This works a lot like Taisho’s contract ability, but it covers verbal agreements and not written contracts. I’m mentioning it here because the fluff strongly implies that the oath is sanctified and thus enforced with the authority of Heaven; the default punishment if one wasn’t agreed upon when the pact was made is the oathbreaker suffers a curse that reflects the oath broken, often in really karmic and ironic ways. The game devs confirmed that it’s possible for someone to unknowingly swear an Eclipse oath, since they only need to agree to the oath itself, not the fact that someone is sanctifying it. Eclipse and all the relevant parties need to be physically present when an oath is being made for him to sanctify it.

Socialize - Insight Check: Roll a 1d10. You can gain extra insight regarding an NPC's motives depending on how high you roll versus their ability to lie/conceal.
Occult - Occult Sense: You will hear wind chimes when supernatural bullshit is happening.
Occult - Messenger: You can summon a small pandemic dragon to pass messages to both PCs and NPCs alike.
