Game Announcement
Hello! Vector here, announcing that I will be hosting a Tinder dating game running from April 22-27.
For those not super familiar, in the Tinder dating app you view people's profiles and swipe left (no) or right (yes) depending on whether you like them. You can't message anyone unless you both like each other, in which case it's a match!
This game will run more or less like that, but the profiles you rate will be anonymous. IC profile submission will be due by game start (more on that later), and the first day of the game will be general mingle and swiping. After everyone has swiped yes or no on everyone, matches will be shown, and the remaining four days are for going on dates. At the end you will rate your top 3 dates, which is how the game will be scored. It should hopefully be focused on quality of dates over quantity and give everyone the chance to make some new CR.
I'm... coding a website to do this, so I'll update this post and Discord with the place to submit your profiles within the next week or so! Start thinking about what your characters would write! (Because it's anonymous, this will need to be different than existing Sinder profiles.)

PROFILE SUBMISSION
Profiles are submitted OOCly, but written ICly.
The username is OOC and won't be shown anywhere - you can go back and enter your username again to edit your profile at any time.
Profiles must be in by 6pm PST, Wednesday April 22. At that time, a game start post will go up, and characters will ICly create their profiles before being allowed to mingle. At that time, you'll also be able to "swipe" profiles on the site above. You'll have 24 hours to swipe. Matches will be visible (also on that site) 6pm Thursday.
In order to maintain anonymity, characters cannot put something too identifying in their profile; if they try they'll feel an aversion and not be able to type it. Generalities are fine; think "I have a dark past" vs "I was a teenage assassin."
Guidelines characters will be given ICly at game start:
- It's time for a dating game! Don't you wish you could meet some new people? Now's the time!
- You don't have to be looking for romance. Hookups are a dating app tradition! I guess you could use it to look for friends or networking connections or whatever too.
- Write a short bio to sell yourself and tell people what you're looking for, but keep in mind it will be shown ~anonymously~.
- You'll get to look at everyone's profiles and see who you like! If they like you back, you're a match, and you go on a date!

Re: PROFILE SUBMISSION
I couldn't get this to work in either Firefox or Safari and those are the only browsers I've got. Is there an alternate way to make a profile so I can play. . .?
All I get is a screen that says "Select your session" but there are no selections to choose from and it doesn't go anywhere.

FULL INSTRUCTIONS PREVIEW
- Time to swipe! Take a look at your phones again and look through all the profiles!
- If you think you might like to go on a date with someone, tap the heart! If not, tap the X! Simple!
- Feel free to help your friends decide ♥
- It's important to have standards, but don't keep your standards too high! Swipe right on at least five people to get access to the ♥exclusive single's bar♥!
- Once everyone has voted on everyone, you'll be able to see your matches and take your dates out on the town!
- If you don't match to anyone... Hopefully you swiped right on at least five people to get access to the ♥exclusive single's bar♥! You can also try picking up someone the old fashioned way! (You can even if you do have matches.)
- When you're done, you'll pick your top 3 dates, and rate them from 1-10! You only get points if someone rates you in their top 3, so let's see some quality dates!
OOC instructions
- Mingle! Chat with other people about profiles! However, characters cannot say which profile is theirs. It may end up obvious in conversation, but please try your best to keep in the spirit of anonymity.
- There are 24 hours to swipe, to make sure everyone gets a chance to look at all of them. You'll be able to see matches 6pm PST Thursday.
- You can go on dates with people you don't match with, but for them to count for the game you need to pick them up in the single's bar. If you already know them... it's time for some roleplay.
- You can enter the bar as soon as you've rated everyone (as long as you liked at least 5 people). Otherwise you can't get past the door. You can't leave the game tower until matches are available.
- I'm not going to police these rules, we're on the honor system. Have fun.
