announcements + placement!

badaba-ba ba
  • Activity check is now closed! Because we did not announce it on Discord on time, and because of various goingons with mods, emails will be slightly delayed. We'll try to get them out by Tuesday at the latest. Thank you for your patience!

  • Remember, December AC is just a check-in. Happy Holidays to everyone!

  • The Handshake Event is now underway! If you're late to the party, no worries—go ahead and sign up here, and ping @ Stage Hands to get your characters requests!

Additionally, we'd like to note a few clarifications to how requests work, and how you can "re-roll"/get new requests if you don't like the ones you have:
    • If you have a request that you feel would be OOCly uninteresting/unfun to play out, and your character ICly either would technically do it or otherwise not have real objections to it, thereby putting you in a place of "well but I don't want to play with this but I don't have a real excuse not to," you can swap it with a request you DO want or you can ping @ Stage Hands for one that you would actually want to do.

    • If you have a request that the character would ICly not do, whether for dignity or moral reasons or for being a contrarian reasons, we ask that you turn that request in as rejected. If you don't want to deal with the heavier effects of sofaform, you do not have to deal with it. (Though a minimum of "I feel kind of weird/weak (but not enough to mess me up badly)" would be greatly appreciated, as we do want the relationship idols have with fans to matter.)

    • If there is a request that you want to do, but it might be hard to pull off (e.g. e-boy video gaming), attempting it/threading out some level of it with the IC intention of trying to fulfill it is Good Enough™️. Even if the character fails, if they tried their best, fans will still find that endearing.

    • If the character deliberately tries to weasel around the wording of a wish, or otherwise willfully misinterpret the wish, there's a 60% chance that the fan will not count that as fulfilled, and a 40% chance that the fan will just be endeared by their efforts and love them sooo much that it doesn't matter that they failed to do the thing correctly. If you really really really want a specific outcome, you can go ahead and do it that way, but if you want to leave it up to the whims of the dicebot, it's a roll 1d10 with a 7+ to pass.

    • You are free to add as many requests as you want! You do not have to cap yourself at 8 requests. Be as powerful as you desire.

    • You also do not have to fill all 8 requests. If you don't finish on time, if you don't get to certain wishes, that's A-OK. Just note that on your turn-in, and especially note which ones your character would have rejected. In general the event is pretty short so we're definitely thinkythoughtsing on how to do it again/make it so that whatever wishes were left unfulfilled have an IC opportunity to be fulfilled later.

  • HEY, SOMETHING HAPPENED. Now Tokyo-F is cursed blessed with a new setting upgrade(ish):
    WcDonald's
Across the street from the diner is everyone's beloved fast food restaurant, WcDonald's! Which of course means you've got access to the dining area, the food prep area, and also . . . .the jungle gym and ball pit.

It's fun. Plus, behind the food prep area (or in the depths of the ball pit) you can find every toy that MWcDonald's has ever made. There's also a Lonard Wcdonard statue in the middle of the dining area. Do you like clowns?

Their menu has expanded! The ice cream machine is always functional, and the food is always reasonably priced (furi: zero cost) and available in minutes. There are of course, chicken nuggets, fries, happy meals, and all the dipping sauces. The drinks machine gives real proper drinks and doesn't cross-contaminate the taste of the sodas or have weak bubbles. The drinks are perpetually carbonated.

They do have seasonal menus, including WcRibs and xmas nuggies, which primarily seems to be nuggies with sprinkles shaped into holiday shpaes, like trees and snowmen and stuff.

It is certainly busy. The mascots have expanded to not only be Lonard, but a number of others, including Grimace and whatever the hell this thing is. Just like every other establishment in Tokyo-F, the restaurant is manned by ghostly people (some of them are wearing AlcheME! cosplays? are they fans?), but the mascots? The mascots seem to be real.

Don't ask. Just know that they are, for whatever reason, a specific gremlin's size or exactly double that height. If you try to take off the mascot heads, then . . . well, don't say we didn't warn you.

Don't worry—they're nice. They don't talk. They just waddle around and do mascot things. This is completely fine and nothing to worry about at all.

This is the F U N Z O N E. In the F U N Z O N E, you may have to take certain risks, such as a giant flyswatter slapping you in the face as soon as you enter the zone. Of course, if you had Foresight, you could easily avoid the flyswatter.

For some reason, there are no cameras in the WcDonald's.
This has been added to the Setting page.
