Heart Game Player signups!

Heart Games: to put it briefly, it's entering the psyche of a character and exploring their mind (or, namely, their heart), with the goal of reaching their core, or the True Heart. Heart Games may range from light to dark and traumatic, so please take note of content warnings given when signing up!

Heart Games will run from February 14th to February 23rd.

Runners, please submit a toplevel with the following: your game schedule, running capacity, any content warnings players may stumble into in the Heart, & whether you accept unscored runs as well or not! In addition, please note a #chan name if you have an idea of what it should be. (You can edit it later.)

Players, please comment to the toplevels with first/second/third priority; you may have ONE scored run. If you would like to play in an unscored run, please note as such in your signup(s)! If the runner offers multiple timeslots, please note your preferred times.

You may both run a Heart and play in a Heart, but runs in other Hearts must be unscored.

Hello friends!

I'm running a Heart Game for Intensity which will be running off time-based elements - i.e. things will be triggered based on the time from when the game starts. During this time, I will run it as all characters are experiencing the heart simultaneously. After the time events are finished, you can run through it like a normal explora dora at your own pace. This is not quite a fix-it heart, but your character will have many options to change things about Intensity should they so desire.

Positive, negative, neutral, no CR welcome.

Warnings for:

Being Yu-Gi-Oh!

Death card games (which is really the same as the first)

Potential gore. Mostly of the getting eaten by monsters kind

Child abuse

Being consumed by technology. (i.e. wires in the brain)

Sign-up sheet is here. Please let me know 1) your preferred times aka sign up for whatever works and 2) if you want to run with someone as different characters have different starting points. I've put an example in the doc. When I've got the schedule figured out, I'll group people together and ping/comment for finalized times.

Also, if you are planning to sign-up, please reply to this comment with a blurb of either what Hell wish your character would make or a little bit about the home world they are returning to if they would take Heaven's option. If you don't know or don't care, just let me know it's Heart Runner's choice, and I will pick ICly what Intensity thinks your character is going to do.

I think Heart Runner's Choice is fine since I think Angel's option would ultimately be "neither I am just going to combine them and do what I want which is squishing her kingdom and universe into this one and then they will simply rule the entire universes together".

Graduating Hellside but he hasn't thought about his wish yet beyond "being with Little☆Red" which is auto-granted, so... He will maybe spend it on being auto-promoted through Hell's ranks or something?? IDK HE'S FLEXIBLE.

Glory's IC perspective is that she would refuse either graduation, she's not gonna align herself with any Hell overlords but Intensity. Obvs if it came down to it though she's certainly not going home.

Probably unscored? (times...kind of depend on when Shrike and Paloma's heartgames run since I signed up for those too)

Persephone would align with heaven and go back to Exalted world (mythic flat-world world with gods, magic, and godpowers).

She'd wanna stick around to eventually go to Heaven, SORRY FUTURE HELL KING YOU KNOW THIS, but her wish would be to have her newfound family and friends with her, too. Or, at the very least, Jyanta present everywhere.

His original plan was to drag Atem home with him but since APPARENTLY several thousand years and two lives have passed and he's left that behind, Seto current plan is to serve him in Hell forever. I'm not sure what that makes his Hell wish. Probably whatever seemed to help King the most at the time even if it was a terrible idea.

Scored run! I can do nearly any day of the week after 2 pm, so I'm going to sign up but may move my signup around depending on when other people are playing. Something like that idk

Cobalt would probably refuse to graduate at this point because he's already thrown in with Intensity. BUT, if he absolutely had to choose one or the other, he'd choose Hell, wish to be reunited with his family, and use his power as a demon to try and help feed Intensity info and/or help take the system down from the other side.

Nem hasn't actually thought deeply about graduation other than that the whole situation's kinda shit, but: she doesn't believe in Heaven or Hell; would probably Hell wish for something attempting a loophole to break Hell and/or screw over the demons/ex-angels they've met so far--would likely have asked Intensity to rules lawyer something good, fully expecting it to be either a dud or to bite her in the ass.

I’m not 100% sure I’ll end up having time BUT let’s be optimistic, so: unscored run for Amaranth!

Amaranth is another of those fuckos who are fully intending to refuse graduation and fight it out with the Producers, though in her case she doesn’t want to give Intensity authority over her either.
If that’s not an option in this Heart, then she skews towards a Hell wish to save her son(s); eventually this would include her family and village, but that’s not IC knowledge yet. What is IC knowledge is that she is most likely dead back home.

Unscored run! I can make 14/2, 15/2 and 22/2. All in the evening from 6 pm pst onwards.

Eclispe fully intends to eventually take a Heaven graduation, because there are too many people back home he gives a fuck about and too many things he feels like he has to do (and he's just kind of Done with Hell).

He comes from Creation (so mythic flat world with gods, godpowers and all kind of Weird Shit (TM)), but he's from a radically different part of the setting from the rest of the cast. He's from "what if you put Kownloon Walled City on a just-isolated-enough island that regional and world politics don't quite touch it, then turned the dial up a couple of notches so it's that much more of a hive of scum and villainy".
